Fully licensed and insured, since 1984 I’ve been on the guide staff of Mirro-Craft boats. Fishing starts in the Minocqua area with ice-out, usually in mid-April. We start our guiding season for panfish, and our gamefish opener is the first Saturday in May. Guide dates run from May through October, and we fish for all species of fish. You decide what to fish for that day or I will plan the trip ahead of time to keep your lines tight and the fun rolling. Learn a little while you’re in the boat as well, I’ll explain the structures we’re fishing and why we use certain techniques/bait for a particular species at that time of year.

Each trip includes transportation to the lake, any equipment you need, and filleting and freezing your catch at the end of the day.

We’ll fish for 4 hours, and I customize each trip to your specific goals. We’ll target bass, walleye, pike, or panfish depending on preference.

What Do You Need To Bring?

Just get a fishing license for your day on the water (licenses can be purchased online or at any bait shop) and I’ll take care of the rest.

My home base is at Kurt’s Island Sport Shop in Minocqua. I also offer a taxidermy service so you can mount your catch or have a life-like reproduction created.
